A primary goal of the RTG program is to not only interdisciplinary train the next generation of researchers in mathematics for human health at UTA, but also to act as a catalyst beyond the directly supported RTG scholars in the department of mathematics and beyond UTA.

RTG Seminar and Lecture Series

The RTG program seminar provides a forum for learning and discussing RTG-related open research problems in mathematics for human health, and for soliciting comments from peers and faculty on research projects. It features research talks related to Cancer Biology, Computational Neurology, and Vector-Borne Diseases by RTG faculty and postdocs, faculty from RTG partner institutions, and external RTG visitors.

UTA Mathposium

The UTA Mathposium is a student-led mini-conference. It features (1) poster presentations by undergraduate and graduate students, (2) a game session, and (3) a panel of industry and academic speakers. Free lunch is provided for all attendees, and undergrads and grad students are especially encouraged to present research posters!
